Silver Copper Bushing – Process & Quality Assurance Statement
Our silver copper bushings are produced to combine pure copper’s outstanding conductivity with silver’s ability to improve high-temperature performance and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for electrical and thermal bearing applications.
Key process features
Production follows a controlled rolling and machining process to ensure uniform silver distribution and consistent properties:
●Alloy Preparation: High-purity copper cathodes are alloyed with precise silver additions in induction furnaces under protective atmosphere.
●Casting & Hot Rolling: Ingots are cast and hot rolled into rods with uniform composition and refined grain.
●Cold Working: Controlled drawing or extrusion forms the sleeve blanks with precise dimensions.
●Annealing: Protective atmosphere annealing optimizes ductility and conductivity.
●Precision Machining: CNC turning, boring, and honing achieve exact ID/OD tolerances and smooth bearing surfaces; optional oil grooves machined for lubrication.
●Surface Finishing: Thorough cleaning removes residues, followed by optional polishing or protective coating.
●Final Protection: Bushings are cleaned, lightly oiled, and securely packaged to prevent oxidation during storage and global shipping.
Quality control system
● Full traceability from raw cathode to finished bushing
● Material test certificates and conductivity reports supplied with every shipment
● Sample retention ≥3 years for third-party verification (SGS, BV, TÜV, etc.)
● 100% inspection of critical parameters:
• Chemical composition and silver content (optical emission spectrometry)
• Mechanical properties (tensile, hardness, and conductivity on multiple samples)
• Dimensional accuracy (CMM and bore gauges; typical tolerance ±0.02mm)
• Surface finish and roundness (profilometer + visual checks)
• Internal soundness (eddy current or ultrasonic scanning)
● Internal standards exceed ASTM B152 requirements. Typical C10400 properties:
Electrical conductivity >100% IACS, Improved softening resistance compared to pure copper, Excellent formability and long-term stability.
● ISO 9001:2015 certified facility ensures every silver copper bushing delivers consistent conductivity, durability, and performance for your critical applications.
