Silver Copper Plate – Process & Quality Assurance Statement
Our silver copper plates are produced to combine pure copper’s outstanding conductivity with silver’s ability to improve high-temperature performance and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for electrical and thermal applications under demanding conditions.
Key process features
Production follows a controlled rolling and annealing process to ensure uniform silver distribution and consistent properties:
●Alloy Preparation: High-purity copper cathodes are alloyed with precise silver additions in induction furnaces under protective atmosphere.
●Casting: Semi-continuous casting produces dense slabs with homogeneous composition.
●Hot Rolling: Slabs are hot rolled to intermediate thickness, refining grain structure and improving density.
●Cold Rolling: Multiple passes achieve final gauge with excellent surface quality and flatness.
●Annealing: Protective atmosphere annealing optimizes ductility, conductivity, and softening resistance.
●Finishing: Plates are leveled, cut to size, and surfaces milled or polished as required.
●Surface Protection: Final cleaning and light oiling prevent oxidation during storage and international shipping.
Quality control system
● Full traceability from raw cathode to finished plate
● Material test certificates and conductivity reports supplied with every shipment
● Sample retention ≥3 years for third-party verification (SGS, BV, TÜV, etc.)
● 100% inspection of critical parameters:
• Chemical composition and silver content (optical emission spectrometry)
• Mechanical properties (tensile, hardness, and conductivity on multiple samples)
• Dimensional accuracy (CMM and ultrasonic thickness; typical tolerance ±0.5mm)
• Surface quality and flatness (visual + profilometer checks)
• Internal soundness (ultrasonic scanning on thicker plates)
● Internal standards exceed ASTM B152 requirements. Typical C10400 properties:
Electrical conductivity >100% IACS, Improved softening resistance compared to pure copper, Excellent formability and long-term stability.
● ISO 9001:2015 certified facility ensures every silver copper plate delivers consistent conductivity, durability, and performance for your critical electrical and thermal applications.
