Custom Chromium Zirconium Copper Parts – Process & Quality Assurance Statement
Our custom chromium zirconium copper parts are engineered for applications that demand sustained conductivity and mechanical strength at elevated temperatures, where standard copper alloys would quickly lose performance.
Key process features
We offer a full range of manufacturing processes — from precision machining to hot forging and extrusion — to meet your exact design requirements:
●Material Selection: Only certified C18150 ingots with verified composition are used to ensure consistent precipitation-hardening response.
●Forming Process: Depending on part geometry and volume, we use CNC machining from solid bar, hot extrusion, open-die forging, or centrifugal casting to create near-net shapes with excellent density.
●Heat Treatment: Solution annealing followed by controlled precipitation aging develops the optimal balance of hardness, strength, and conductivity.
●Precision Machining: Advanced CNC turning, milling, drilling, and grinding achieve tight tolerances, complex features, and smooth functional surfaces.
●Surface Enhancement: Optional polishing, coating, or texturing is applied according to application needs (e.g., anti-galling or improved solderability).
●Final Inspection & Cleaning: Every part undergoes thorough dimensional, visual, and functional checks before protective packaging.
●Packaging: Custom parts are carefully packed with anti-corrosion protection to arrive in perfect condition for immediate use.
Quality control system
● Complete traceability from raw alloy melt to finished custom part
● Detailed material certificates and process records provided with every shipment
● Sample retention ≥3 years for third-party verification (SGS, BV, TÜV, etc.)
● 100% inspection of critical parameters:
• Chemical composition (optical emission spectrometry)
• Mechanical properties (tensile, hardness, and conductivity on samples)
• Dimensional accuracy (CMM; typical tolerance ±0.05mm on critical features)
• Surface finish and defects (profilometer + visual inspection)
• Internal soundness (ultrasonic testing on larger or critical parts)
● Internal standards exceed ASTM B768 requirements. Typical C18150 aged properties:
Tensile strength ≥450 MPa, Hardness ≥140 HB, Electrical conductivity ≥80% IACS, Excellent stability up to 500°C.
● ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing ensures every custom chromium zirconium copper part meets your exact specifications with reliable quality and consistent performance.
