Large Diameter Aluminum Bronze Tube – Process & Quality Assurance Statement
Our large diameter aluminum bronze tubes are built to withstand the toughest conditions in marine and industrial settings, offering long-term reliability where lesser materials would fail.
Key process features
● High extrusion ratio (≥ 30:1) in the extrusion stage effectively breaks coarse as-cast grains and achieves full recrystallization;
● Multi-pass drawing combined with two vacuum bright annealing cycles eliminates internal stress and prevents intergranular oxidation, maintaining high cleanliness both on surface and inside the material;
● Dimensional tolerances controlled within ±0.05 mm, wall thickness variation ≤ 3%, straightness ≤ 0.5 mm/m, and superior diagonal Consistency exceeding first-class national standard requirements;
● 100% eddy current testing supplemented by ultrasonic inspection eliminates surface and subsurface cracks, inclusions, orange peel, and other defects.
Quality control system
Production combines advanced casting with precise forming techniques for consistent quality in substantial sizes:
●Alloy Melting: Certified ingots are melted in controlled induction furnaces, with composition checked throughout the pour.
●Centrifugal or Sand Casting: Dense blanks are produced using methods suited to large dimensions, ensuring minimal porosity.
●Hot Working: Extrusion or piercing forms the tube shape, refining grain and improving mechanical properties.
●Heat Treatment: Full annealing optimizes strength and ductility while removing internal stresses.
●Machining & Finishing: Outer and inner surfaces are turned or bored to achieve accurate dimensions and smooth finish.
●Straightening & Testing: Tubes are straightened and subjected to initial checks before final approval.
●Protection & Packaging: Surfaces are cleaned and coated with protective oil, then securely bundled for safe global shipping.
