Oxygen-Free Copper (TU1) Electroplated Busbar for Grounding Terminal Applications – Process and Quality Assurance Statement
The busbar is manufactured from TU1 oxygen-free copper (Cu ≥99.97%) with multiple cold-drawing and annealing cycles to achieve refined grain structure, elongation ≥38%, and tensile strength ≥245 MPa. The substrate is free of internal porosity and inclusions, providing optimal adhesion for subsequent plating.
Surface treatment employs high-build silver or tin electroplating (standard silver thickness 15–30 μm, tin 10–20 μm; can be increased to ≥50 μm per project specification). Coating uniformity is controlled within ±10%, and adhesion meets Level 5 per GB/T 5270-2019, with no peeling or detachment after 180° bending. Critical grounding terminal areas receive localized secondary thickening to ensure contact resistance remains ≤10 μΩ under sustained high current density, while temperature rise complies with GB 8349 and IEC 61439 standards.
Full production is conducted under an IATF 16949-certified quality management system with the following controls:
● 100% direct-reading spectrometer analysis of raw material composition + third-party CNAS-accredited laboratory verification
● Batch testing for conductivity (≥100% IACS), coating thickness (X-Ray fluorescence), adhesion (bend + thermal shock), and salt-spray resistance (silver ≥480 h, tin ≥240 h per ASTM B845 neutral salt spray)
● 100% energized inspection and individual contact-resistance measurement; full traceability via per-bar QR code
● Final high-voltage insulation withstand (2500 V/1 min, no breakdown) and grounding continuity verification
The product is extensively used in data center UPS/EPD systems, utility-scale energy storage BMS, HV switchgear, rail transit, and industrial automation panels where maximum reliability is mandatory. Long-term stable supply has been established with leading customers including State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, China Mobile, Sinopec, BYD, CATL, Huawei, ZTE, and others.
Custom fabrication capabilities include special-shaped punching, insulation coatings (epoxy powder or PVC dip), extra-long single lengths (up to 12 m), or specialized plating systems (Ni undercoat + Au finish, etc.).
