Large-Size Tin Bronze Bar (Φ120mm and above) – Technical Supplement
We specialize in the production of large-diameter tin bronze bars ranging from Φ120mm to Φ650mm. Main grades include C51900, C52100, C51000, CuSn6, CuSn8, ZCuSn5Pb5Zn5, ZCuSn10Zn2, etc. Material can be supplied to GB/T 13808, ASTM B505, JIS H3270, EN 1982, or fully customized chemistry and properties per customer requirements.
Key Manufacturing Process
● Semi-continuous casting followed by heavy-duty hydraulic extrusion (single bar weight 3–8 tons) ensures fully dense structure without shrinkage porosity in large diameters.
● Multi-pass hot/cold working combined with precisely controlled intermediate annealing eliminates dendritic structure, resulting in homogeneous α+(α+δ) eutectoid matrix with typical grain size 0.025–0.050 mm.
● Entire bar is seamless and joint-free throughout its length.
Quality Control Highlights
● Chemical composition: Direct-reading spectrometer (SPECTRO) analysis performed on every heat; all trace elements (P, Fe, Sb, Bi, etc.) controlled to 50% of standard limits or tighter.
● Mechanical properties: Typical values for Φ≥200mm bars: Tensile strength ≥450 MPa, 0.2% yield strength ≥200 MPa, elongation ≥15%, hardness HB120–180 (fully guaranteed).
● Internal soundness: 100% ultrasonic testing per ASTM B594 Class A or SEP 1921 E/e level using 6–10 MHz probes. Full UT reports and macro/microstructure photos available per bar upon request.
● Dimensional tolerances: Diameter tolerance ±0.5 to ±1.5 mm (better than H11), straightness ≤1 mm/m, cut-length tolerance ±20 mm.
● Surface finish: Precision turned after extrusion, surface roughness Ra ≤3.2 μm, free from cracks, inclusions, or orange-peel defects.
