Tin Bronze Bushings (CuSn8 / CuSn6.5P / ZCuSn10Pb1 etc.) – Technical Supplement
Our tin bronze bushings are manufactured from high-purity cathode copper and carefully selected phosphor-tin master alloys. The blanks are produced by medium-frequency induction melting followed by horizontal continuous casting, ensuring uniform composition, dense microstructure, and freedom from porosity, slag inclusions, or other casting defects.
Semi-finished tubes undergo multiple high-tonnage hydraulic extrusion passes combined with multi-pass drawing under controlled reduction ratios. This severe plastic deformation process substantially refines the grain structure and increases material density (measured density ≥ 99.5%), significantly improving mechanical strength and fatigue resistance.
Key Quality Control Points
● Incoming raw materials: 100% direct-reading spectrometer verification to eliminate out-of-spec impurities
● Melting: full inert gas shielding with infrared temperature monitoring; oxygen content maintained below 20 ppm
● Casting: electromagnetic stirring + precise traction parameters; typical grain size ASTM E112 Grade 1–2
● Extrusion & drawing: deformation per pass strictly controlled between 25–35% to achieve wall thickness tolerance within ±0.015 mm
● Final inspection: 100% eddy-current flaw detection, coordinate measuring machine verification, metallographic analysis, plus batch sampling for hardness, electrical conductivity, and mechanical properties
These bushings are specifically engineered for heavy-duty, low-speed, high-reliability applications requiring self-lubricating performance, including bearing shells, thrust washers, worm gears, hydraulic cylinder components, construction machinery, port equipment, and continuous casting systems in steel plants.
We focus on traceable, verifiable, and repeatable quality rather than marketing slogans — delivering bronze components that industrial clients can confidently specify for long-term, mission-critical operation.
