Our phosphor bronze strip is produced from high-purity cathode copper alloyed with precisely controlled tin and phosphorus. The process begins with multi-pass horizontal continuous casting to achieve uniform composition, refined grain structure, and freedom from segregation. The cast slab undergoes multiple reversible hot rolling passes, intermediate annealing, cold rolling, and final continuous bright annealing. Thickness tolerance is tightly maintained within ±0.005 mm, flatness ≤ 1 I-unit, and surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.3 μm across the entire coil.
Key Quality Control Measures:
● Raw material: Each heat is verified by both XRF and direct-reading optical emission spectrometry; phosphorus content is strictly controlled between 0.015–0.040% to ensure consistent elastic limit and fatigue resistance.
● In-process: 100% ultrasonic inspection immediately after hot rolling to eliminate internal cracks and inclusions; cold rolling employs AGC automatic gauge control combined with online eddy-current testing for zero macroscopic defects throughout the coil.
● Final inspection: Head, middle, and tail samples from every coil are tested for tensile properties, bendability, hardness, electrical conductivity, and repeated bending life (≥ 150,000 cycles at 180°). Third-party test reports (SGS/BV) are available upon request.
● Packaging: Vacuum sealing + VCI rust-preventive oil + wooden pallet + steel strapping, guaranteeing no corrosion or mechanical damage during ocean freight or extended storage.
The material is widely used in high-reliability applications including premium connector contacts, automotive relay springs, and precision instrument shrapnel.
