Large-Diameter Aluminum Alloy Tube – Product Technical Supplement

We specialize in the production of large-diameter seamless aluminum alloy tubes with OD ranging from φ200 mm to φ850 mm and wall thickness from 10 mm to 120 mm. Main alloy series include 2xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx. Maximum single length reaches 28 meters. These tubes are widely used in aerospace, rail transit, marine & offshore, energy equipment, and heavy industrial applications requiring the highest mechanical and structural performance.

Key Manufacturing Capabilities

● Produced on 40 MN to 150 MN heavy-duty direct/indirect extrusion presses equipped with high-tonnage piercing systems, achieving wall thickness eccentricity ≤5% and excellent surface finish on both ID and OD.
● On-line quenching (air, mist, or water) combined with high-capacity forced-air cooling lines to deliver uniform T6/T83 and other high-strength tempers across large cross-sections.
● In-house large-scale ingot casting line (up to Φ900 mm) using low-frequency electromagnetic stirring and multi-zone temperature control, resulting in grain size ≤120 μm and defect-free macrostructure (no cracks, porosity, or inclusions).

Quality Control & Traceability

● Full process governed by IATF 16949 + AS9100D dual quality management systems.
● 100% automated laser/ultrasonic dimensional inspection with full data traceability to individual tube, ingot, and heat.
● Comprehensive in-house testing capabilities: direct-reading spectrometer, optical microscope, ZEISS CMM, 600 kN universal testing machine, and automated immersion ultrasonic C-scan systems.
● For heavy-wall tubes (WT ≥50 mm), individual tube ultrasonic testing reports can be provided to EN 10160 S3/E4 or ASTM B594 Class A levels.
