Brass Strip (C26000/C26800/C27200) – Process Capability and Quality Assurance

Raw Material: Primary electrolytic copper (Grade A) and high-purity zinc only. Total impurities ≤ 0.03%. Chemical composition strictly complies with or exceeds EN/DIN/ASTM/ JIS standards.

Manufacturing Process

● Horizontal continuous casting → Hot rolling (850–920°C) → Multi-pass cold rolling → Intermediate bell annealing under nitrogen atmosphere → Precision tension leveling → Double-side inline cleaning & chemical passivation → Slitting / Cut-to-length

Key Process Controls

● Total cold reduction ratio controlled within ±0.5% accuracy to ensure fine, uniform grain structure
● Continuous bright annealing in protective atmosphere – no oxidation, hardness tolerance ±3 HV
● Surface passivation provides long-term anti-tarnish performance

Quality Control & Traceability

● Full compliance with IATF 16949
● Third-party test report supplied with every coil (chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensional tolerances, surface quality)
● Thickness tolerance: ±0.005 mm (capable down to ±0.003 mm)
● Width tolerance: ±0.10 mm
● Flatness ≤ 3 I-unit
● Color difference between batches ΔE ≤ 1.0
● 100% defect-free surface: no scratches, dents, oil stains, roll marks, or oxidation that could affect subsequent stamping/etching
● Coil weight 3–12 tons as required, seamless single-length coils for continuous high-speed stamping
● Batch-to-batch mechanical property variation ≤ 5%
