White Copper (Cupro-Nickel) Plate – Technical Supplement

Our cupro-nickel plates are produced from high-purity electrolytic copper melted with nickel and zinc in precise ratios, using a fully integrated process of continuous casting, multi-pass hot rolling, cold rolling, intermediate annealing, tension leveling, and final cleaning/passivation to ensure uniform composition, refined grain structure, and dense microstructure.

Key Process Advantages

● Melting performed in vacuum/protective-atmosphere induction furnaces, oxygen content strictly controlled to ≤10 ppm to eliminate inclusions and porosity.
● Hot rolling initiated at 850–920 °C with finishing temperature ≥750 °C, preventing internal cracking in slabs.
● Total cold reduction ≥92%, combined with multiple intermediate anneals (bell-type or continuous bright annealing at 550–650 °C with precise temperature control) to eliminate work hardening and stabilize properties.
● Surface finishing via tension leveling, online polishing, and six-high leveler, achieving flatness ≤2I and surface roughness Ra ≤0.4 μm.
● 100% eddy-current testing plus ultrasonic auxiliary inspection on finished products to ensure freedom from delamination, cracks, or internal defects.

Quality Control System: Manufactured in full compliance with GB/T 2040, ASTM B122/B171, and customer-specific technical agreements. The entire process is governed by ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certified systems. Each lot is delivered with complete test reports covering chemical composition, spectral analysis, mechanical properties, electrical conductivity, grain size, and surface quality. Full traceability and third-party inspection reports (SGS, TÜV, etc.) are available upon request.

Standard supply range: thickness 0.8–20 mm, width ≤1250 mm. Typical lot-to-lot consistency: tensile strength variation ≤5 MPa, yield strength variation ≤3 MPa, electrical conductivity variation ≤1% IACS.
